Founder

PharmaBoard was founded by Mohamed Medhat Elshoubary, a pharmaceutical industry specialist with 25 years of experience across marketing, business development, market intelligence, and mergers and acquisitions in the GCC and MENA region.

Mohamed holds a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from Grenoble Ecole de Management, an MBA, and a degree in Pharmacy — a combination that bridges deep scientific understanding with commercial and strategic expertise. He is a published author, having contributed two chapters on pharmaceutical and biotech M&A to books published by Taylor & Francis, covering integration strategy and the geopolitical dimensions of cross-border pharma deals.

He serves as a part-time marketing lecturer at the German University in Cairo, teaching brand management to pharmacy graduates, and has advised pharmaceutical companies, investors, and healthcare organizations across Saudi Arabia, the GCC, Egypt, and wider MENA markets on commercial strategy, market entry, and investment opportunities.

His primary focus is pharmaceutical M&A — supporting both buyers evaluating GCC acquisition targets and sellers preparing for strategic transactions — with particular depth in the Saudi Arabian market, including SFDA regulatory dynamics, NUPCO procurement strategy, and Vision 2030 localization requirements.
